05Origins · How it began

The Gekke Geit

The Crazy Goat · unofficial fourth member
Patron · The Goat

It started in a low-ceilinged corner of De Gekke Geit, The Crazy Goat, a student bar in The Hague where the beer was cheap, the lights were broken, and the jukebox always leaned too heavy. Between lectures and last calls, Thijmen and Luka kept ending up at the same table, trading riffs scrawled on bar napkins.

What began as drunken theory turned into a band. For more than a year, drummer Alex sat behind the kit and helped pour the foundation: the first songs, the first shape of the sound. He's the one you see swinging the sticks in our film. Studies eventually pulled him away, and Jacob stepped in to carry the rhythm forward.
